Eat Breakfast Eating first thing in the morning gives the metabolism a kick-start. It is important to eat a large breakfast to stop food cravings throughout the day. After a nights sleep, the body will try to conserve energy and fat until it receives food for ‘fuel’. Skipping breakfast often leads to people eating anything they can get their hands on once the hunger starts to kick in. Watch Portion Sizes A good idea when eating at home is to only put half the amount you would normally put on your plate. It takes the brain twenty minutes to realize that the body is full. In that time many people tend to overeat and subsequently feel bloated and full. Most portion sizes have increased over the years and many people have confessed that they do not know what the correct portion sizes are in their diets.
